Progression meets Adventure We’ve noticed that many riders and busy students struggle to find consistent time on the water to truly progress and end up getting stuck on a plateau of constantly managing to just get back to the same level before life gets in the way again. We designed the Indonesia Kite Tour to fix this problem, maximise ride time and lock in solid progression! Whether you’ve never touched a kite before or you’re already chasing backrolls, bigger jumps or more inverted rotations, this tour gives you the best chance to level up fast. Beginners will have their best chance of riding confidently by the end of the week, intermediate riders will be boosting higher and getting super comfortable in the air, and advanced riders will be adding more rotations, grabs and tweaks to every move. You’ll stay right on the water, where constant trade winds blow day in day out. Between sessions, we’ll stretch, recover, eat food, and enjoy the sunshine and warmth. We’ll capture your progress along the way with GoPro, drone, and camera footage helping you fine-tune your technique and take home epic memories of your progression. Jeneponto has extremely consistent wind. The wind starts around sunrise and blows until sunset, peaking around 11am. ~90% of days were between 15 and 25 knots with some days over and some days under. The wind generally builds through the morning, peaks from 11-3 and slacks into the evening. There can be stronger and lighter days and the minute chance of a no wind day (but we have always kited every day we have been here.) You will want to have kites that you can ride at 12knots to 30knots.

Yes! The resort where we stay is secluded and remote so non-kiters would enjoy their stay here if they enjoy relaxing and getting away from it all. We have had many family groups come and have a great time with the local kids and with each other. The resort has a pool, a bar and restaurant open all day, and plenty of places to chill out and read a book or get some work done. Mopeds are available for rent from the resort for day trips to discover waterfalls, explore the local villages or check out the markets, tailors, and restaurants in the regional hub of Jeneponto. It will be quite deserted while we are out kiting which may be appealing for the +1s seeking some time to themselves.
